Little did the people of Jerusalem in the land of Israel know that day when Jesus rode into the city how important that event was! As we celebrate holy week let us truly reflect on that wonderous day when the messiah of Israel was revealed. I am sure his deciples were trying to figure out why then Jesus needed a donkey. He never needed one before. When Jesus rode into Jerusalem that day he fulfilled a very important prophesy: Zechariah 9:9 : Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey. Hosanna!! was the peoples cry!!It would be les than a week when the crowd would have a far differant cry. In the backround---calvarys hill was waiting. to be continued....
